Some things have changed since i last posted, so i just would some input if anyone has time! I am looking at doing Econ/business at a variety at schools. they’re very different, but i like them all for different reasons!
First:
ACT 34 C
3.74 GPA (low, but 4.27 weighted, all honors/AP when i could…this probably kills my chances everywhere but…)
EC: Eagle Scout (also leader of troop, etc), All State musician (section leader), leader of a club
UMich - Econ/Ross pre admit (yes i’m crazy) probably first choice, would still go if i got into LSA and not Ross i think
Notre Dame - Econ
BC - econ and business program
Illinois - would do finance here
Davidson College - Econ
Those are my top ones! I have recently been accepted into the Tippie Business School at Iowa, that’s my main safety.
Sorry if this is wordy! Just would like a little feedback…thanks!
Oh, also doing UVA for econ. Am i completely off the mark on all of these?
bump!
bump…or does no one want to tell me the bad news lol
You aren’t off the mark at all! With a 34c and some solid ECs…you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting into a few of these schools. Mich and ND are probably the toughest but I’m not too familiar with any of the others. And if you’ve taken a lot of APs and honors, then your GPA is nothing to be worried about! A 3.74UW will not kill your chances.
@doorrealthe thanks much! yes i do definitely know they will be tough for me lol, definitely not counting on much, but thanks for letting me know it’s worth a shot. give it a try!
bump sorry, last time!
Notre Dame and UVA are pretty big reaches i think, not sure about the others
@pete0192 do you think there’s anything i can do?!
Hope I’m not being harsh…but try writing some good essays. Maybe apply RD to ND. See if there’s a way for you to get in musically to some of those places maybe. But spend more time on the match schools I would say. Good luck.
thanks @pete0192
I thought of one to maybe think about: While i think those are reaches (although i don’t know about all of them, maybe someone else can help you out), maybe try IU Kelley. It looks like you’d qualify for pre admission
@pete0192 will look into it, thanks
Does anyone think any on list are possible besides those two?!
