I'm wondering which business frat has a stronger presence in NYU?

did u get offers from both?

I think they are doing rush right now.

Isn’t there another one?

In either case, they are pretty extreme, and aside from networking, which I heard isn’t that great within them, most people that I know that are in business frats feel foolish for doing it, and you kind of get made fun of from the rest of the general NYU population

I haven’t rushed for either frats, although I was strongly contemplating rushing for DSP. I heard AKPsi has the stronger network though, so I decided to wait till next year since they don’t accept freshmen. The 10 weeks of pledging for DSP also seemed excessive to me.

One of the main reasons I want to join a business frat is for the networking opportunities. Does NYU business frats have a reputation for weak networking?

Hmm I heard the opposite, I heard that DSP was stronger than AKPsi at least, at NYU and Berkeley.

I think the 10 weeks also lets you form stronger bonds with your frat members but I guess thats my own personal opinion.

AKPsi is definitely stronger on the East Coast in general. Also, DSP is a lot smaller in terms of the the entire fraternity. DSP only exists in the US while AKPsi has chapters all over the world.

DSP: 270 college chapters, 60 alumni chapters in the US only
AKPsi: 295 college chapters, 90 alumni chapters worldwide
