Hi, I am a spring semester freshman, and Im considering rushing a business frat.
The problem is that I only had 3 classes count for my GPA (my 4th was P/NP), and I did badly in one of my breadths. my gpa for first semester is like 3.2. However I did get an A+ in the haas prereq that i took if they consider that.

Basically Im worried that because these frats are so selective, my first semester GPA will make me look bad compared to all the other people

Also is it practical to rush all 3? or should I just rush 2?

I think DSP has quite a high gpa cut-off, you might’ve missed it. Try the other two, though. As far as I know, gpa isn’t that important as long as you’ve made it pass the cut-off. Actually, if you have connections then I bet you can even get around the cut-off.

Which is the easiest to rush? I don’t think I have the social skills to rush the best one, but I want to get my foot in the door to improve those skills, network, and work together with like-minded people.

There also the newer Business Frats, Phi Gamma Nu, and Sigma Epsilon Pi. I have a friend in PGN, and she LOVES it. Its a small fraternity, and they don’t have the alumni resources that DSP does, but because they’re so small, they’re really close knit, and they do a lot of things a large fraternity couldn’t do. They did an office tour of Google last year. All the brothers I think are pretty much aligned with the company they wanna work for after graduation (KPMG, PwC, Google, etc)

Also with the newer frats, you don’t have to worry about being hazed, given the nationals crackdown.
