My son is hoping to be accepted into the Business School, but is wondering if many business students get into the Honors Program. It seems everyone we know of who got into the Honors Program were from engineering. We know of some people who got into business and Scholars, but no one we know got into business and Honors. Can anyone tell me a bit about their stats if they got into both Business and Honors?
@davenmame My daughter was accepted to the honors college and was a direct admit to Smith. She was just recently accepted to the business honors program at Smith. Her stats from high school were: ACT 33, valedictorian ranked 1/420, GPA unweighted 4.0 and weighted 4.6, 12 AP courses. She had many volunteer hours and was a varsity athlete. She also received the Presidential Scholarship.
My friend group is composed of business majors in the honors college, and many of them had around 1400+ (CR + Math)/3.9-4.0 UW with 8+ AP classes and stellar EC’s. The majority of them were admitted to “lesser” Ivies (Cornell, Dartmouth, Penn) or other competitive schools (CMU Tepper, Georgetown, Northwestern), and waitlisted/admitted to HYP.
