Who is going to apply as a freshmen?

me 10charrrr

My son has, as are a couple of his friends.

My son, also. Got everything in yesterday.

I will be (10 char)

I just applied EC as well. I found out that I was admitted to McCombs yesterday - accepted. It feels great, but then again I'm graduating salutatorian of my class. But I applied for BHP, Plan II, and Liberal Arts Honors as well. Anybody know about them reviewing the applications or notification dates for BHP?

a bunch of people got interviews for BHP, but I havent yet.. any of you heard for an interview for BHP through email?

How do you know people have already started getting interviews? I haven't heard anything about that. I'm deadset on those honors progams (BHP, Plan II, and Liberal Arts Honors) and that really worries me. I figure I have a pretty good shot and now I'm wondering...

I haven't heard about it either. But, we aren't expecting anything. Don't know if s has a shot or not.

You only get interviews if they think you are qualified I heard. I didn't get my interview until the end January, so there is still a lot of time left.

I just had my interview today, but I applied early notification plenty of time in advance, so they've certainly had time to process my application.

Luxar -
What was your interview like? I received my email today about the BHP interview and am very nervous for it.
thanks!

swttangel - when did you get your ap in?

I got my UT application in around october 10th and then my BHP application was completed about the 30th.

I still haven't been accepted to UT yet, which was suprising. i thought that they wouldn't consider students for the honors programs until they were accepted to the university. however, my status page still says they are reviewing my application (has said that for about two weeks now). Does anybody know how long it usually takes for a decision to come?

I don't know how long it takes. My son got everything by Oct 31st and heard back on McCombs, but has not been offered an interview for bus honors yet.

swttangel...don't be nervous. The interview was actually very casual; he had two questions that he was required to ask me as mandated by the school, but beyond that it was generally conversational. I lucked out and had an alumni interview me who is a lawyer, which is the career I am interested in pursuing, so we had plenty to talk about. My particular interview lasted about half an hour, but I've heard of them lasting anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

I found out my acceptance to McCombs 5 days after I submitted my app. I'm still waiting on honors, though. That sounds strange that you received an honors interview before you were officially accepted into McCombs.
