Did anyone get into Business Honors or James Scholar for Business yet? If so, please post your stats.
Also are James Scholar Business and Business Honors separate programs?
The James Scholar program is separate from the Business Honors Program, but everyone within the Business Honors Program is a James Scholar. In order to be considered for the Business Honors Program all applicants to the College of Business were first evaluated with their original application and then about 100 to 120 people were invited to interview in January. From those 100 to 120 people, I believe 35 to 40 people were chosen and notified in February.
The James Scholar program gets you priority registration, special seminars, a potential trip to Brazil, and other benefits. If you poke around the CoB website you’ll find more detailed information about both programs. Also, your James Scholar status is on your myIllini information page right when you sign in and click on your application. I hope this helps!
