I saw a thread regarding jobs on campus, but I was wondering if business internships are available in the Cornell area.

While I have heard amazing things about AEM, I am a bit hesitant due to its secluded location.

You wouldn't find good internships in Ithaca....you have go elsewhere. It doesn't matter where your school is located.

if you live in upstate new york you can find decent experiences...

although the most prestigious internships (goldman sachs, etc) would be in NYC or BOSTON

Don't worry about secluded locations. The recruiters come to us.

Plus the 'ships are during the summer. I wonder if I did that 'ships thing correctly.

If you're an entering freshman, I recommend getting some business experience this summer somehow and asap.

nobody does internships during the school year. No legit company that's worth your time wants to hire a student for 6-10 hours a week while class is in session. Going to school in the middle of NYC or Boston doesn't give you any leg up in the job hunt.

You do internships during the summer, and all the big name companies fly to Cornell's campus to interview and hire students as interns.
