Hi, I just got accepted into Umass (Amherst) however I didn't get accepted into my primary major (Business), and I was placed into Economics. I'm curious how difficult it is to switch majors to business and get into the school of business (Isenberg).

What are your stats? Did u get into any other business schools?

yeah, I got into the business school at UVM’s UNH’s Purdue’s, and Ohio University’s.
My scores are relatively low,
1700 sat, 3.3 un-weighted however its a top high school

My cousin has gone to Isenberg for the past 3 years. He’s doing amazing, but he did get accepted when he applied. He’s had many friends who were in programs such as Engineering and math/sciences who dropped their majors to transfer to Isenberg. Not to rain on your parade, but he has told me that had a rough time transferring (some not even being able to). It’s definitely possible, but it’s going to take a lot of work in your first year or two.

Get to know the Advisers/faculty at Isenberg and show them that you are willing to work extremely hard to transfer. It’s not as insanely difficult as people make it out to be. As long as you put in the effort, you should get in easily

It’s much easier to get in when you apply but a few are able to transfer in-but not many.
