I've been accepted to both of these, but am still undecided on what to do. At SDSU i'll be in Business administration with a emphasis on finance, and at UCSC ill be doing the business managment economics dual major program. I was wondering if anyone knew which was a better undergrad business school? I've been looking but cant find which would be best. Also im from Norcal already, so kind of looking to go down to San Diego, but scared to leave my dudes behind, many of them ive been friends with since childhood. Any info would be greatly appreciated, im torn in between these two school and don't know which to go to. UCSC for more academics, and SDSU for more of the total package, sports, girls, WARM beaches, stuff like that.

San Diego State has one of the best public business schools in the state. There is a large recruiting pool there as well. Their finance and accounting programs are tops and the weather is beautiful. My D goes there although is not in business but my husband graduated in accounting and has been very successful as well as all of his friends who graduated from one or another of business majors at SDSU. Good luck!

Do you want to pay half as much for just as good an education?

That's about it, unless staying close to home is important. But you can't beat socal

It sounds like you will really enjoy SDSU. But one thing I must say, that their is not really a big recruiting pool for finance here, more so for accounting.

But all together, SDSU is perfect for someone looking for decent education and fun in college.

Ask this question in the UCSC forums and you will get a completely different answer. Obviously you will get biased information at either area. You just gotta visit both campuses and weigh the plusses and minuses. Everything else will fall into place.
