Business Major

I got in on the Business Major, and was wondering how it is at SDSU. Do people get in to good grad schools, and/or jobs after graduating? How are the internship possibilities? Whats its reputation in the Business world?

If anyone knows please let me know of the information you know about it...Im having a tough time deciding between schools...Also if anyone knows how SDSU compares with othe CSU's and schools like UCD UCI UCSC UCSB, for business, please dont be shy to respond.

for undergraduate, the only uc's that have business majors are ucb (extremely hard to get in) and ucr and possibly ucm (not sure).

sdsu is one of the top csu business schools along with cal poly slo, fullerton, and csulb.

I would rank for undergraduate UCB, SLO, then SDSU

The top undergrad business programs in california are: Berkeley, USC, Santa Clara, Pepperdine, LMU, USD, and SDSU.

SDSU outranks SLO in business. Engineering is a different story.

Savedbythe Bell: How do you know that SDSU outranks SLo in business? IS there a link you could post?

Its on the USNews report thing...SDSU is ranked 50 somthing overall while cal poly is 100 something.

Personally, I've been here for almost 2 years and I have maintained my GPA from my junior college. I don't know why this school is ranked so high in business, I guess it's because of the amount of professors with PHd's? I had a lot of good professors and a lot of bad ones. If you want an education, you can practically get one at any school if you are actually there to learn and put forth the work.

I also failed to mention I'm a bus mgt major. SDSU is known for it's business majors such as accounting, finance, international business etc. But I had Fin, IDS professors and I wasn't impressed.

i got in as a math major, will it be hard to switch to business accounting or finance major?

Management = sociology...atleast Management 350...I thought it was rather dull. I must say I've liked all my finance professors.

You like Pawar? I got a B+ in his class thanks to A+Review.

Yeah, Pawar is witty- never went to A+ review. His tests were rather difficult though (not comparatively to the rest of upper division finance, but at the time seemed tough).
