Business Major?

I will be a rising senior this year, and most likely will be attending UT, as well as hopefully getting into McCombs.
Of course though, I have my aspirations set to go into med school, but there is a dilemma. Simply, will majoring in business be a viable option in order to have a somewhat smooth path as an undergraduate?

I know how everyone claims, pick whatever major you like, but I'm just concerned as to what price that would come at.
Although I could just go for Biochemistry or other Natural Sciences, if I don't get into medical school, none of the careers interest me, whereas Business does, with the possibility of going back to pursue an MBA. Please tell me this is possible!

Business is theoretically a vocational major, and we don't know how business majors do in medical school admissions.

"Pick whatever major you like" applies to traditional liberal arts majors. All guarantees go out the window when you're departing from academic subjects.

Rocksnake,

An interesting middle ground might be to major in econ. It probably gives you more freedom to take the required pre-med courses, and will also be easily applicable to the business world.
