I was wondering what business courses you can take while being admitted to the school of arts and sciences. I know that there is an econ major in A&S, but what other courses can I take that will make it most similar to business? Can I minor in something in the business school? Thanks for any help you may be able to give.
You can take up to 8 courses in CSOM. A logical first course would be Financial Accounting since accounting really is the language of business. You could then take the intro class in whatever other discipline(s) you find interesting and use that as a springboard for upper level classes without having to take the rest of the CSOM core. Regardless of whether you find a minor, listing whatever you take in CSOM on your resume under “related coursework” should cover you nicely.
There is a new minor in CSOM for A&S students called management and leadership, but other than that I would just take a bunch of CSOM electives
