^ not from my experience. In my ME dorm, there was 1 single room, and there were 4 triples on my floor alone, and about 7 in total throughout the hall.

It was the same for many of the other ME halls. I can’t say for Mesa though.

Fyi, I tripled. Its cheaper, but definitely hard to study in your room. It gets loud and sometimes annoying. If you want to save money then go for it, but otherwise don’t do it.

For me especially, it’s hard to concentrate when it’s noisy. I’ll probably end up doubling. But then I got 0 gift aid so I’m not sure. Guess I’ll have to look at prices later.

and yeah, i’m doubling for sure. I know triples may possibly be more fun at times but I know I won’t be able to get my privacy when I would actually want it.

Btw, how positive are you that triples are really that difficult to get? Cause i’m in a debate with my friend who wants to triple whereas i’d like to double. He wants someone random and yeah…

Hi guys. I know it sounds like a lost-cause but I am appealing to UCI after being rejected about a month ago. My prospective major is Business Administration, which I’ve heard is extremely exclusive and difficult to get in under. I am currently writing a letter of appeal and have included valuable information pertaining to business activities I am involved in. I am currently interning at an accounting firm and briefly mentioned another internship I am currently involved in and a charity I assist in managing. I am also looking for more internship opportunities to pursue during the summer. My grades are not stellar and I did not take many weighted classes (which I mentioned in the letter) but it was due to a very rough freshman year. My grades have improved dramatically but overall GPA is not impressive. Although UCI is my dream school, I will not consider majoring in Business Economics. For those who were admitted or know people who were admitted, I was wondering if you could tell me your stats like GPA, SAT/ACT, EC’s, etc. Any information would be useful. If you do not wish to tell me, I completely understand.

If you have any insight on my situation, please let me know! I am happy to accept any advice or criticisms. Thanks everyone!! :)

Best of luck on your appeal process! I hope you know that you must have new and compelling information to appeal. Just because you’ve improved dramatically your senior year, or have more ECs this year won’t make a difference. Since everyone is judged up to the first semester (or quarter or whatever) of senior year, it would be unfair for them to reconsider your admission on these grounds. Otherwise, everyone would appeal if they improved. That being said, perhaps my stats can help you out.
