UCR and Berkeley are the only two UC's which offer an undergraduate business major. As to accounting, financing, and the like, I do not know, but Riverside can offer you a business degree if you want to go to a UC for business and Berkeley will not work for whatever reason. As far as its strength in business, it does not compare well to Haas (ranked 3rd for undergraduate by US News and World) or USC (ranked highly, but not as highly as Haas). As for econ, many of the UC's have strong programs. Berkeley has many Nobel laureates on the faculty for econ, and UCLA also has a great econ program, through which one can emphasize business econ. Beyond that, I'm not sure how the UC econ departments rank in terms of quality.

Are you sure business is for you? There is much advice about majoring in another subject or at least supplementing the bus degree with a second major because many companies prefer fresh, impressionable workers. You could always get the MBA if you want or need to down the line. Then again, you may love business, and UCR may be the correct choice for you. Perhaps applying to Berkeley is worth a shot, but maybe UCR is a better place for you, anyway. Or a private school that offers a business major, such as USC. Good luck.

UCSB also has a shiny Nobel in the economics department.
