Business Management

I was just wondering how hard is business management as a major? I am really interested in this major and would like to know if it is that hard because i also plan on double majoring in something related in science, which i also love.

business management alone is pretty crappy apparently (although I think most business "concentrations" suck too), but if you're majoring in a science also, that will work fine. business management is a pretty stupid major where you don't learn anything, so it will obviously be easy as **** and hopefully get your foot in the door. definitely make sure you hang onto that science major though, don't drop it and become business admin alone so you have more time to smoke weed and masturbate. (serious)

so r u saying its not worthwhile pursuing and if not what is worthwhile? also does this major help starting ur own business?

i didnt say it wasn't worthwhile, i just said it was easy and boring as ****, and that you shouldn't major in it alone. with a science degree, ideally a highly-quantitative one, I could see it being a good addition though.

and no, i dont think it would help you with starting your own business, there's no real methodology for running a successful business that you'll pick up in business school, just a few fancy terms for common sense ideas followed by a lot of bureaucratic nonsense.

BS/MS in Science + MBA = much better career path

Agree with Japher. Business is all about networking anyways, it doesn't really consider as a specific skill such as computer, med, law and so forth. Pick something you like and then get a MBA to manage your company, or meet your future partners there if you suck or don't like business subjects... lol

I feel business Management is a very easy course to take. I hold a Master's in Business Administration/Management and I feel the time spent is very "worthwhile". To suceed in Business Management one should study, have ambition and go to the fullest potential if he/she want's to be successful at it. I am currently going to Stanford university to get my Ph.D in Business so I can teach at a university one day.

Congrats Professional. Thats a big achievement and i hope to be in that position at one point!
