Hi, I am now an undergrad mechanical engineering student and I'm taking courses for a minor in business administration.
Do you think that a minor in Business will lower my chances of admission in the top schools for my masters? (I mean maybe it shows that I am not very serious about engineering??)

Thanks

I do not think it will matter much one way or the other. Grad admissions is very individualistic, so while it may turn off some, others may like the fact that you have that added skillset.

Not in the least, as long as you have taken the full engineering curriculum.

I doubt it will hurt or help your chances, unless it significantly alters your GPA.

even if these colleges are MIT, Stanford…?
Thank you :)

On average, still no difference even with those schools. You never know what will tweak an individual professor, but I am talking typically.
