Does anyone know if Calc is required for a business minor. It lists the 6 classes required & says you need to meet the prereqs for all. But it also says all CB&A students need to take Calc among other courses to take 300 level classes. But are you a “CB&A student” if you are just doing a minor? It’s a little confusing.

For example the old catalog says you need EC110 for MKT 300 while the new one says you need Calc (&stats, ACT, LGS, Econ)

The business minor is designed for non-business majors who are by definition not in C&BA* and are thus not subject to certain requirements. My advice would be to attempt to add the course and see if it shows a hold due to unsatisfied prerequisites. If that is the case, your son could ask for C&BA to waive the hold.

One cannot be in different colleges as an undergrad, but can have a second or third major in other colleges and possibly need to meet with an advisor in the other college. For example, if a business major decided to declare a second major in physics, they would still be a C&BA student rather than an A&S student unless they decided to complete the process of switching colleges and the order in which their majors are listed.
