Business or Communications?

I know that right now, all most people can think about is admissions, but I wanted to ask of those who have heard back for these 2 majors (CSU or UC) what you think. I transferred last year to UCLA but decided to go back to CC for a year and take pre-reqs for a different major. I can't decide between business administration and communications studies (communications for the schools that do not even have business as an option). My biggest problem is that business admin. would be much harder to get into (my number 1 choice is cal poly SLO or UCSB).

Can anyone please post their stats for either of these 2 majors to any UC or CSU that they've heard back from so far (I think that's everywhere but Cal?) Also, would it be much more worth it to just go for it and attempt to get into business admin. and risk not getting into communications? I still have business calc to complete which kind of worries me. I do have a "geographic advantage" but I'm still not sure.. I would like to work in HR, event management, academic counseling, or something similar in the future.. Which major would be better?

Any advice at all concerning these two majors? Thanks and congrats and good luck to you all!

1 Question: why transfer out of ucla?

I figured that would be the only response haha. I didn’t enjoy my major. UCLA was a great school though, so don’t be afraid!

It depends on your career goals, but for the most part it doesn’t matter. Either would be fine if you wanted to work in operations, marketing, or sales. Both are general degrees.

I would have suggested you change to a different major in your college at UCLA, then get a MBA afterwards, that would be most optimal, and you would specialize in an area of study before getting a masters in business administration

Going in to a Business Administration major has very competitive admissions, so Berkeley Haas would be tough to get in, but if you do, your absence at UCLA would be worth it
