I'm not sure if anyone is really knowledgeable about the Business School but I was wondering my odds of getting accepted to the Business School for next Fall. I am going to be a first year transfer student. 1st semester I had a 4.0. This semester I will likely get another 4.0 or something close to it giving me a GPA of roughly 3.9-4.0 I'm a member of the primary business group at UW-Whitewater, Phi Beta Lambda. Not a whole lot of work experience. If I had a GPA at Madison of 3.9-4.0 I wouldn't be worried but since it is from another UW school I really don't know where I stand. Any feedback is appreciated.

Should be good. Join some UW clubs.

There are prereq requirements that must be met before they will accept an internal transfer. I’m not sure if it applies to externals.

Also admin of transfers requires you to take one year pre bus at Madison before applying I believe.

Direct Transfer Admission
Students from another UW System school (both two- and four-year) or one of the Wisconsin Technical Colleges are eligible for admission to the Wisconsin School of Business in the same term they transfer to UW-Madison. For consideration, these students must complete an online Wisconsin BBA application during the spring semester. Applicants not accepted to UW-Madison are not eligible for business school admission.

Did you complete the online Wisconsin BBA application yet? It may be due around April 1!

Here is a link to the transfer flowchart:

Thanks for the info. According to the flowchart I would be eligible for the direct admit program. I haven’t applied yet but I was planning on doing that over the weekend.

I just was accepted for direct admit as a freshman. Good luck everyone
