Hello all. I am interested in studying business at Ross at Michigan, Kenan-Flagler at UNC, or Goizueta at Emory, but I know that they are extremely competitive and I am doubting that I will be able to get into any of them. I currently have a 1480 on the SAT and a 3.9 GPA with a rigorous course load including 4 AP classes to date (it will be 5 or 6 by the time I graduate). My issue is with extracurriculars as I only have two sports (baseball and basketball), debate team (with some awards), and some community service. I moved to a new school this year (I’m a junior) from my old school which lacked opportunities to become involved in extracurricular activities. I am currently organizing a clothing drive for homeless shelters in New York City that I hope will continue after I leave. I also work during the summer at least 30 hours per week. What do you think my chances are if I get two solid letters of recommendation, write good essays, and do a little more for my resume?
If that is your unweighted GPA I think your chances are excellent at all of the above. May want to add Kelley as a safety where you would be an automatic direct admit. Good luck.
Yes my school does a GPA out of 100 and I have about a 93 when combining my old and new transcripts
