are you in-state?

i think that's a pretty low SAT to make any guarantees, even if you're in-state.

try to boost your stats. i think extra curriculars are important too but my friend had a 3.6 and 1780 SAT in state and got spring admissions (she applied to business as well). i heard you have to get over 1800 just to get in fall admissions and even people who get into scholars don't get into the business. the only guarantee is if you got into honors.

to clarify xtefii's last comment, honors admission and business admission, in reality, have absolutely nothing to do with each other. neither program knows (or cares) who admits who. it might seem that way because the SAT/GPA of honors students are typically high, as are those of business students. but getting into honors won't guarantee you admission into the business school (or vice versa). i had to clarify, i don't want anyone to get confused and start complaining!! :)

lindz, please keep us in the loop this year as you go through the interviewing process for a permanent job. Please give us an idea of the process for getting on an interviewer's schedule, whether employers specify a particular minimum GPA, which companies come to campus, how helpful the Smith School is vs. how much initiative you've got to have, etc. Thanks!

worrywart-- sure thing :) i'll start an ongoing thread in the fall where i can keep updating with stuff relating to the job search. someone remind me!

lindz thanks for the clarification. that is what i meant.

Thanks, lindz! I'll be eagerly awaiting your posts.
