<p>Crain's) — The University of Chicago's business school is third in the nation among those offering full-time MBA programs based on a ranking of rankings.</p>
<p>Booth School of Business, which also was third on last year's list, had a composite score of 98.5 out of 100, according to a list released today by Poets & Quants website. Poets & Quants is a startup run by former BusinessWeek Executive Editor John Byrne and is dedicated to examining MBA programs.</p>
<p>Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management retained its seventh-place spot with 94.9, just under the 95 score for Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Columbia University, which tied at No. 5.</p>
<p>DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business finished at No. 99. It was not on the 2011 list.</p>
<p>The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ranked No. 44, up from No. 45 last year.</p>
<p>The website weights the business school rankings of Bloomberg BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, Forbes and the U.S. lists from the Financial Times and the Economist to create a blended score. Poets & Quants claims its methodology measures the "overall quality and reputation of full-time MBA programs," according to its website.</p>
<p>Topping the list again was Harvard Business School with an index score of 100. Stanford University's Graduate School of Business followed with a 98.8. Poets & Quants said in its report that Booth's program is emerging "as a powerhouse business school" given that it is just 0.3 points behind Stanford.</p>
<p>"A year ago, the difference in the index score between Stanford and Chicago was twice that level," according to the Poets & Quants report.</p>
