Business school recommendations?

I am in the class of 2017, so I am an incoming senior. I have been on numerous college tours, but I am so indecisive, and I can’t decide which is right for me.

So, a little about me… I go to a competitive, nationally ranked public high school in Pennsylvania. There are more than 1,000 students. My high school does not rank, but my guidance counselor assured me that I was definitely apart of the top 10%.

4.6 GPA (not sure about unweighted)
33 ACT (didn’t study, so might try again in the fall)
6 AP classes by the end of high school

I like math, and I am thinking about going into finance and accounting because I am very black-and-white. Also, I am thinking about a minor in chemistry because I enjoy it, and I’m good at it. I got a 5 on the AP test and a 770 on the subject test.

Do you think these schools match my criteria? The first three are my reach schools.

Penn (I have legacy, and my mom wants me to apply)
Georgetown
UVA (OOS)
Pitt
Penn State
Villanova (maybe)

Are there any I should eliminate or add? I want to stay on the east coast and be within driving distance, and I am not a big fan of cold weather.

Thank you so much!!!

I’d definitely apply to Villanova. And some other schools you can consider are Lehigh, Cornell (Dyson), Carnegie Mellon (Tepper) and Boston College (Carroll), William & Mary (Mason). A few if these may be a bit colder than you want but worth checking out. Fordham might be a good safety (they have non-binding EA and you might get merit aid).

Penn only considers legacy for ED applicants. otherwise it is not a hook.

And I don’t think UVA has a direct admit to the business school which I personally think is a negative.

@TomSrOfBoston Thank you. I don’t think my mom knew this.

What is your budget? Don’t know how anyone can give advice without that answer.

Don’t bother with chemistry minor. A minor should enhance or complement a major. Chemistry has nothing to do with finance or accounting. You would be wasting your valuable time.
