business suit.

hey there.

what's your preferred attire for formal meetings. etc?
(partially inspired by the watch thread.)

Brooks Brothers or the like.

Can't go wrong w/ Brooks Brothers

ermengildo zenga. the best.

ARMANI all the way...the ones already posted are clean as well

For the more traditional suits Brioni and Kiton and for the more contemporary suits Dior Homme and Prada.

American Traditional Style:

J.Press 3 button rolled to 2 flannel sack suit
oxford shirt, repp tie, Alden Cordovan shell loafers.

**** the Italian garbage. I like their women though.

gotta go for brooks brothers

I refuse to wear suits....

mahras please clean ur inbox out, i tried to message you but no luck

Sorry about that. Didn't realize it was full.

It should work now.

anything that looks good...I don't really care. I look like a stud in my Dockers suit so yeah ;) lol

anything reasonable and of good quality should be sufficient

Can you get away with wearing loafers to a career fair? They look dressy, but they aren't the kind with strings.

whoever said "**** Italian suits" is an idiot.

If you want to look like the average joe with a cheap suit with sleeves that don't show any cuff then go right ahead, just realize that people do realize that you know nothing about proper mens attire.

Do yourself a favor and buy an issue of GQ.

Hupkorea,

Yes, wear a suit. Knowing that most high school/college students can't afford a $2,000+ designer outfit by Ermenegildo Zegna, Brioni, or Prada (perhaps you can), you can go to the Men's Store in NYC or any other equivalent department store and find suits with similar silhouettes as the big-name designers.

Personally, I hate boxy looking suits. Guys here in the US tend to wear their suits boxy. Don't be afraid to have your blazer pulled in around the ribs if the blazer doesn't fit perfectly. Doing so gives it more of a European cut and thus looks more expensive. Also, pants without pleats looks better.

If you're dressing for a company meeting or interview, do some research on the company's dress culture. There's a serious difference between how someone at a bank dresses to how someone at a creative company/architecture firm, etc. dresses. Bankers wear their suits more conservatively while creative companies admire some individuality and flare.

Mssales,

Yes, you can use loafers. Just make sure it's polished leather. Suede doesn't look professional.
