Business Undergrad degree for Law School?

I’m going to start college in the fall semester and have decided on majoring in Business Admin for my undergrad degree and perhaps double major in polisci. However, I am also considering law school, but not for corporate law, but for civil rights or immigration law. Would majoring in business right now force me into corporate law? And if so, then are there any other majors that would better prepare me for civil rights/immigration law? Thank you!

AFAIK you can major in anything and then go into any kind of law.

A couple of comments:
–Your ideas of how you will spend your career may change over time – you haven’t even started college yet.
–But to answer your question, you can major in anything you want undergrad and practice any type of law you choose.

Because law school is such a commitment, I would definitely recommend studying whatever you feel like you would enjoy studying either way.

@happy1 that’s true but I don’t want to get stuck doing corporate law even though I have an interest in business. Just planning early since I didn’t really do that for high school and I regret that  thank you
@philbegas That’s what I’m thinking too. Thank you:))

You could always do economics or international business as well because they place a more international tint on financial issues.
