business undergrad plus MBA

<p>people are telling me that if i want to get an MBA, I shouldn't major undergrad in business. it shows a lack of variety, they say. how true is this?</p>

<p>other people tell me that going to a good undergrad business school (wharton, marshall) will get you good enough alumni connections to get a job out of college, possibly not needing an MBA</p>

<p>Undergraduate major is not important to MBA admissions committees. What is important is your work experience.</p>

<p>You are correct that it's possible with a business degree you wouldn't need an MBA but the same could be said of any undergraduate major. It really depends on your career goals and how well you are doing at attaining them.</p>
