um.
im currently in my last year of high skl
gonna attend a canadian university in the upcoming fall
does anyone know which US university apart from upenn- wharton,
has a business undergrad. program?
wut should i do in my first year of uni. in order to increase my chance to get in?
and wuts SATs do i need to do?
im oblivious to US univ.s
but im eager to transfer after i spent my entire life in canada. : )
thx for everyone's help.

NYU Stern, UMich Ross, UVirginia McIntire, UTexas McCombs, MIT Sloan - those are the best business schools that I know of for undergrad.

Michigan Ross accepts very few external transfers..

the OP did ;)

Haha I realized that after I submitted my msg

thats why I changed it

lol :)

Georgetown - Mcdonough.

4got to mention UCB Haas

btw which Canadian school will you attend. I was from Toronto.

um. im gonna go to Univ. of Waterloo.
accepted in the honors mathematics/business administration co op program there.
did u transfer after ur first year or sth?

heck ya Haas is awesome but tough to get into OOS.

and if you don't get into any of those schools.. you can just go to indiana o_O

I attended U.S.University after Canadian high school

i see
well. the reason im applying for transfer is becoz i was so stupid that i missed the deadline.
at around feb/march, i suddenly had an urge to go for US univ.s
and found out the deadline was in early Jan.
it sucks. coz i did my sats in grade 8 already.
n my marks in grade 12 are real gd. not being cocky or anything here. : )
but now. id have to work my ass off in my first year at univ. just to get stellar grades and ecas. and stuff like that. so that id be eligible to transfer to a gd uni. in US.
ahhh.
thx for the info. tho guys

Isn't english a native language in canada?

yea...
so?
wut are u implying here?

I'd add Emory - Goizueta. Transferring into Emory is not particularly difficult; their transfer rate for males is around 50 per cent.

It's a highly ranked business program. (4th in Business Week)

Plus, you don't actually enroll into the b-school until your junior year. So, once you transfer and become a sophomore, you're basically on the same playing field as every other sophomore from Emory who plans on applying.

ooo. so its 50% for female then.
wished it was more.
um. for the junior thing.
does it only apply to this skl ur saying?or does it apply to ALL business univ. in US?
do u mean i gotta apply again to whether or not i fulfill the requirements to enter that bus. skl?

Do you mean 'school' by 'skl'?

I think the acceptance rate for females is considerably lower at Emory than it is for males. It's around 30% or so for females if I recall correctly.

Enrolling students in the b-school as juniors is not the norm. Emory is the only college that I know of that has this. Most other b-schools enroll students in their freshman year. (UPenn-Wharton, BC-Carroll, etc)

Yes, you do need to fulfill basic requirements. You can look them up on Emory's website. They're generic classes like financial accounting, calc, and microeconomics. You can easily transfer credit for these pre-reqs.

30%!!!! @@
then my chance of getting in is low.
geeee.
oh well. thx for your help tho.
and. yea. skl = school

don't let the acceptance rate scare you. emory isn't terribly difficult for any good student to get into - male or female.

I got into Wharton..heard just today.. If you wanna know about anything trasferring there. u can pm me :)
