Business Week Ranks Wake #1 Most Hard Working Undergrad Business Program

Hardest Working: Undergrad Internship Programs Ranked

Thoughts?

I can believe it. I’ve heard that the business school is pretty difficult from fellow students.

Also ranked #1 for academic quality.

[News Detail | WFU Schools of Business](http://business.wfu.edu/newsDetail.aspx?id=696)

additionally, at many schools, the business school is one of the easier schools where as at wake it’s as hard, if not harder, than the other majors (bio, history, comp sci, etc)

Wneckid99: Really? I never ever thought that the business school at any college or university was easier than other programs with the exception of engineering and some pre med. I would sure love to know where this is the case because I have a daughter applying next year and she is interested in business. I know at schools like Notre Dame, Boston College, Villanova, that their business programs are generally more difficult to get into (i.e. need higher stats).

I may have been generalizing a little too much, but at schools where there is no “acceptance” into the biz school (for example, I was thinking of Umiami). At Miami everyone majors in business because anyone can and it for some reason is as easy as other schools.

Of course Nova, BC and UND all have great biz programs and I know they are difficult like Wake’s (from friends in 2 of these schools it at least seems so)

OP, you do realize that those numbers a few years old? it has Richmond overall ranked 20th and in the past 3 years i believe they were 12th, 15th, then again 12th… and it has ND 3rd, but for the second straight year they are #1… so those numbers have most likely changed

This is the version from March 2007, but unfortunately I can’t find a time stamp on the original one I posted. It’s absolutely from after March 2007 though; these are the most current rankings I could find (although I disagree with them a bit…). If anything, though, it makes Wake look better because at the time of the hard working article we were ranked 21, and we’ve gone up (back down a bit, but still at 19) since then. Anyway, like I said, current rankings:

So although Wake may not be too high on the list as overall schools, according to businessweek their academic quality is #1

On a different note, do any of you know information regarding acceptances to Graduate schools and job placements for undergrad students who attended the business school at Wake? I am strongly considering going to Wake, but I am still up in the air about whether or not I should attend the Honors Business Program at Miami (OH) or Wake. Any opinions?

^^ i was accepted to the business honors program at miami (OH) and wake forest as well, and between the two I would attend wake. However, I am leaning toward attending richmond. if you search on google “2011 businessweek undergrad business rankings” the website will show you are graph and tells you what rank they are for feeding kids to MBA programs, and also a ton of other stuff
