Ive heard nothing but good things about a B Major, but I'm still fuzzy on exactly WHAT it is? When i think business, i think about working your way up a corporate ladder, but can anyone clarify this? What branches are there, what positions are available for B grads? For example, management, I dont see how i would step out of college and get a job as a manager immediately. Meh, im just a bit confused. Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure exactly what you mean, but we don’t have a business school at UCSB. We have a solid business major, though, called business economics. BE has an optional emphasis in accounting as well, which is looked upon highly by businesses in the area.

we only have like 2 courses here that are business-related though. they’re going to change the name of the major from “bus econ” to “econ and accounting,” probably the year after this comming year (or maybe even this year). the only difference, accoring to my professor, is that they’ll require one more math course.
