If you live near a Goodwill they can have some quality clothes.

An easy way to build an wardrobe is to find a great basic that you like and get it in a bunch of different colors and designs (e.g. cardigans for girls and button-downs for guys). If you hate shopping, I’d sugest that you don’t stock up on trendy tops from F21 but invest in long-lasting, form-fitting tops and sweaters (Gap, JCrew, Ralph Lauren, AE all have well-made pieces for reasonable prices and they go on sale often). I guess the same rule goes for guys.

Two Words:

Rat Pack

forever 21…fairly inexpensive & they have some really cute things.

I am a HUGE fan of Marshalls/TJ Maxx. They sell the designer clothes cheap so you can get quality and also save money. (I recently bought a pair of jeans for $10 that originally cost $115). Sometimes you have to search for cute stuff but it’s totally worth it.

On that budget I’d suggest Target or a similar store for basics: underwear, socks, maybe one or two pair of reliable jeans. For everything else I’d suggest a thrift/vintage store (especially for shirts and jackets) while the selection might be up to chance, you’re sure to find something that is more interesting, cheaper, and probably even sturdier then what’s in the department stores.
