Where are some good places on or near campus to buy skateboards or longboards? I am just looking for a cheap one and don't really want anything fancy.

I’d find one used on craigslist for cheap.

I bought a really nice longboard on Ebay for $60 with shipping. The only bad part was the wheels, which I had to replace after 6 months.

I am also interested in this because my bike annoying to lock up. Are there any store around USC that sell it? Roughly how much do they cost? and are they hard to use-- i have never used one before.

Skateboards are similar to other board sports in the way you steer(carve) while on them. If you’ve surfed, snowboarded, or wakeboarded then it should be easy to pick up. If you get one please practice on a nice large flat parking lot somewhere before using one on campus :)

check on USC facebook marketplace

there’s a skate shop on vermont past 29th street that’s in the same shopping center as the ralph’s. i haven’t been there personally so i couldn’t tell you how it is but ya u should def b able to get one there. :)

you pay for what you get…

so just make sure you check, and double check for what you are about to buy.
i suggest bringing a friend who knows boards to check it out with u.

theyre great with answering Q’s
and im sure theyve already covered this topic.

id personally wait till you can invest in a good one, or wait for a decent deal on a good board. afterall, it will probably stay with u til ur done with USC or even longer

Agreed. There are lots of ****ty cheap skateboards out there. You want a board made with quality components which will last longer and run smoother. Good deck, trucks, wheels, and ball bearings.
