Buying something to be shipped to Cornell

I am looking at printers on newegg and there are some printers I want to take advantage of. however, i could only ship them to Cornell as I will be leaving home and going on vacation for the couple of weeks before orientation starts.

I have heard of BRSS but can we not ship stuff directly to our dorms yet? If I just enter in my dorm address and ship it will nobody receive it? 40 dollars just to ship something a few days earlier through BRSS seems a little bit ridiculous so I'm not positive I want to go that route...it would eliminate all my savings on the printer.

can you really not wait til you get to your dorm and order it then…? it would save a ton of hassle

i wouldnt order it until like monday on the week you move in…so that its there once you arrive…

Deals on computer parts are very fleeting sometimes. Its a judgement call, i think you can start having stuff arrive after the like 15th or something. I don’t remember the exact date though.

So here’s the deal. There is ALWAYS someones at your shipping center to receive packages. The issue is that you do not live there yet so they aren’t going to know what to do with your package. If you are living on north start off by calling your shipping center (either Appel or Rober Purcell) and speak with one of the full time employees (make sure it’s NOT a student). now explain what’s going on and ask them what to do.
