Buying textbooks online

I've been trying to look for books for classes such as CSE3 and can't find ANYTHING.

Why? I search the title and nothing would come up.

Have you tried searching by the ISBN? It’s also listed near the book title

Yeah but then there are those UCSD customs and ARIS cards. Is there also a website from UCSD, you know, a group or something that organises selling used books?

btw, we can always go to the bookstore as a last resort right? Do they ever sell out?

Facebook marketplace is also a good place to check. I’m not sure about the ARIS cards, sorry :frowning: but the bookstore is a good last resort - they do sell out of some things sometimes, but you can just talk to the people at the counter and they’ll reorder one for you.

Can we purchase the arid card sepetatelu without the book from the book store?

do we have to have our books the first day of classes?

^No, you never bring them to class. You’d honestly be fine even if it came a week later, you would just have to catch up on all your reading really quick. No one checks to make sure you have the book though

About UCSD customs,
what are so “custom” about them?

i know we don’t have to bring them to class with us but will we know our final schedule early enough to get the books we need? i would rather not be behind haha

use the following:

facebook marketplace
uloop
half.com
amazon.com
any other used book site

use the library as the last resort, though if you DO have to resort to the library, you are DEFINITELY not searching hard enough, UNLESS its a book that JUST was released so you can’t buy it used but have to buy it new.
