Buying the Blue Book AGAIN?

Hey,

5 months ago, I bought the Blue Book as my first test prep guide and finished it within 2 months. Now that its July, and I have improved by over 400+ points, I wanted to test my skills again back to the Blue Book and see if I can improve with that. Do you guys think its a good idea? I probably forgot most of the questions that were on the blue book and I wanted to re-do it for practice. What do you guys think ?

…Why would you feel the need to buy it again if you already have it?

^

Maybe because he had a lot of writing and marks in it that make him unable to reuse the practice tests. In that case, I would not buy it again if you’ve already done every single test within the blue book. I would instead get the SAT online course or find other reliable SAT practice tests online that are not in the blue book already.

Haha he is correct! I have so much writing in it its unbearable! And thats hilarious because I have also finished all tests on the SAT Online Course as well

While I am a big fan of revisiting the blue book to make sure you have mastered problems that once stumped you, you should also explore using other REAL tests. Check out the links in the stickies and in SATQuantum’s posts. But if you go back and review ALL of your errors in the blue book and the online course, it’s hard to imagine not improving. Just make sure you really know what you did wrong and how to do it now! If you are true to your screen name, you will be fine :)

Check the free official SAT practice tests offered by Collegeboard online

I second @pckeller because SAT problems lose their effectiveness if you have attempted them before. Most SAT problems appear difficult on first sight and collegeboard does a good job of making them appear novel, however almost always when you see the solution they seem simple. For this very reason you need to continue to practice with new real official tests. Looks like you have exhausted them all, the only source left are the SAT QAS. Ask your friends if they have any, I know collegeboard is not going to like me for encouraging this.

I second (or third lol) SATQuantum and pckeller. You should take the Official Online SAT class as well as look at the released practice exams by the collegeboard that are found in one of quantum’s posts.

I guess you could, you forgot a lot of things from the test in a period of 5 months and the blue book has the most reliable practice test.

I have two copies…don’t judge
