By the end of 1st semester, how far did you get in AP classes?

USH: End of Reconstruction

Calc: Finished 8 of 10 chapters. "All" that is left is series, polynomials, and polar/vector/parametric functions

Chem: Finished 7 chapters in Zumdahl :( Definitely going to go faster next semester (9+)

Physics: Mechanics
Stat: Probability
Gov: All
Econ: All
Eng Lit: All
Music Theory: All

(My school has a quarter system, so all but Physics and Chem are two quarters, with Gov/Econ together)

Mr. Ike, impeded our quest for knowledge.

AP lang: i dont even know man...but weve only had it for a quarter

French: We just finished learning all of the tenses that we need to know for the AP and we're reviewing stuff like direct and indirect pronouns.

English Lit: I don't even know. We were doing sonnets and now we're doing villanelle stuff. My teacher's an idiot, anyway.

Psychology (not an AP, but it's a college course through Syracuse U): We just finished memory and are now moving on to personality stuff.

apush: chp.27 am pageant expansionism and imperialism. ^@jamesford-you guys are still on reconstruction?wow.that was a tough chapter though.

eh????????????

Econ: Microeconomics
US History: "Gilded" age
Environmental science: studied mining, waste control, ecology, geology, soil, agriculture, risk assessment.
English lang: Prepared for MC, arg essay, rhet analysis essay.

Well technically the semester doesn't end until Friday but we just finished Reconstruction on Monday. We're actually on target in terms of material (i.e. I've read 15/30 chapters of AMSCO so far to review class material).

AP calc: Starting the last section on derivatives
AP psych: Beginning abnormal personality and therapy
AP Bio: Idk about this class, we are on genetics and I have a feeling we are behind. But we also had to do a research project which took up a lot of time.

On a side note - from what I see here, the Economics AP taken in high school is Micro, right? The other day I asked our GC if it was Micro or Macro and recieved nothing back but a blank stare.

What do you guys do when your "done"? Your AP class is only 1 semester or you finished all of the material already?

well , my school year is almost 1/2 way done
AP Stats: 75% done, just finished Part V in textbook
APUSH: Topic after Reconstruction, "Gilded Age"
AP Eng: I dont even know, we just read books and argue viewpoints. no real curriculum
AP Psych: starts 2nd half of the year

Euro = Industrial revolution (test tomorrow!)
Bio = Genetics (test tomorrow!)

plue00, i'm exactly (and I mean exactly) where you are in AP Euro...my class has our IR test tomorrow and Friday's the last day of the semester

btw, I see you're from VA Beach...i'm also representing the 757 lol

Java: Started inheritance and GridWorld
Physics B: somewhere in mechanics
APUSH: started World War I (finished Imperialism and Progressivism, we're really far ahead)
Calc AB: started integrals
Eng Lang: pshh... I don't know.

eng lang: failboat. a lot of failboat.

apush: ch23/24ish, gilded age

env: geology + biomes funfun

stat: ch8 binomial/geometric distributions

bio: ch24 with evolution stuff

AP Lang - idk. We do rhetoric analysis all the time. Currently studying Modernism.
AP Bio - doing Mitosis/Meiosis.

AP Macro: Done
AP Gov: Just started
AP Psychology: Memory test tomorrow
AP Physics C: Simple Harmonic Motion test next week. Then Mechanics will be over!

...but electricity and magnetism is so much harder.
