Hello,
The regular decision deadline is about to finish, but not all of my recommenders submitted their letters. Will they be able to submit them once the application deadline ends? Or shall I hurry them more?
Thanks in advance
Most universities will not consider an application complete without the required recommendations. You should hurry them more if you have not yet reached the minimum number of recommendations. You can check with the particular universities to see if any will accept a recommendation after the deadline, but it is safer to assume they won’t and go ahead and make sure the letters are submitted on time.
Quick question: when were they requested? I ask because my husband got a request on December 21. Yes, he submitted it before Christmas, but, no, it wasn’t his best work. The kids provided very little info-- no resume or brag sheet or anything.
The rest of his and mine were requested last spring and submitted by the start of school in September.
If you’ve given enough time, perhaps your guidance counselor can provide a gentle nudge once school reopens next week?
