BYU Acceptance 2010

Who applied? Has anyone been accepted yet? What about scholarships? Tell your stories…

I applied before Dec. 1. Have not heard anything (ugh!!). Excited though.
Scholarship-wise, I applied for the Comprehensive Scholarship, hoping for a half ride. Also, the Communications Department Scholarship. Did anyone else apply for talent awards? I wish I knew my chances there.

I am afraid my chances are slim on the Comprehensive one, since the chart is gone. I’d love to hear others’ stories/anxieties as well :)

I applied priority. Then I called them a week ago and was told theyll mail out admissions decisions for them to be delivered the 3rd week of this month. Im getting impatient. haha. And do u know if we can apply for departmental scholarships once were enrolled? Because Im still undecided on majors. Theyre between FamLife: Marriage and Family Therapy, Physiology & Develp Bio, or Neuroscience. What about you guys?

I applied priority too. I check the website everyday just to see if they’ve let me in. That is supposed to be the most up to date information but it sure takes a long time. haha. I also applied for the Monson but I have no idea when they notify the winners–hopefully with the admission decisions. I didn’t apply for departmental stuff though, i didn’t really know about it. My major is Neuroscience…I’m SOOOO excited. I only applied to BYU Provo so hopefully this works out for me. haha.

I applied priority as well… me and the other LDS guy at my school are dying right now. I did the second level scholarship application. Did we have to choose a major? I can’t remember doing that.

@jbake, BYU is also my only plan…hopefully it all comes together, haha!
Uhm, I don’t remember choosing a major, but when we applied I think we did like “intended major” or something like that :)

yeah its just an intended major. so i’m actually pre-neuroscience because i have to get accepted into the program after pre-requisites are cleared. i’ll bet i change majors at least 3 times once i’m actually there.

hey guys i got an email today that basically said lots of people applied this year so don’t feel bad if you’re not accepted. great. anyone else get this?

Yes… I did as well

My understanding is that BYU will send us an e-mail directing us to log-on to Route Y to check the admission decision once it has been made.

Additionally, I was told by someone in the scholarship department that scholarships may be posted a week or so later not necessarily at the time of admission.

Best to all of you. If you do not find yourself at BYU, make your way to institute wherever you are.

I got that email too. Let me know if any of you get any further emails from Provo.
I’m exciteddddd!!!

I feel so sad. I do not recive the email from BYU recently. I am international student and not a LDS. BYU interview me for two times and also send me a email asking me two question…BYU is my dream school and i really want to get into it.

My sat score is 1340(cr math) and gpa is 3.9. Am i competitive among international students this year?

Is it normal that I haven’t received this email yet? The school did email before about having multiple identities on their system, but after that, nothing.

sounds like a call to the admissions office would be in order

My profile at Route Y changed!
“Student Info
Admitted Undergraduate”

WHOOO HOO!! :)

Well I had called the office to clear up the multiple identities issue and they sent me some more emails to confirm that… and so after that I haven’t received anymore emails from BYU.

I just checked my status and I’m an admitted underraduate too!!! Now i have to wait for scholarship stuff…gosh the tension never ends.

Non LDS from FL just learned I was denied from BYU for fall 2010… Will pursue a college education here in FL (at Florida State University) and then possibly come out to Provo as a visiting student in the summer or spring. Best of luck to those admitted and who choose to attend school at such a fine institution.

I checked my profile and I got in! :)

I checked today and I’ve been admitted :)
