C in an AP class

Hi, I’m in 2 AP classes (us gov and physics 1) and 5 regular classes. I thought I wanted to be an engineer but now with what’s going on in AP physics that’s probably not what I’ll end up doing, but I have 2 questions. First of all if I’m looking at colleges like michigan, Wisconsin, illinois, etc. and I have a 29 act but I plan on getting a 31 (I will also probably end up getting around a 3.8 weighted gpa). If I get a c in AP physics how badly will that hurt my chances at those colleges and is there a way to soften the blow? Also I really like AP gov, like a lot, and I was wondering if there were any careers related to that and AP comparative gov.
