I’m currently an junior and UVA would be my dream school! I’m an in-state student and I am currently an IB diploma candidate. However, I got a C+ for my first semester of IB spanish and I don’t think I can get it up to a B-. I have A/A- for every other IB class I’m taking. Would the C+ really hurt my application?
Make up for it with above UVA level test scores and you shouldn’t have to worry
@YungLatin That is terrible advice. Grades and strength of program will always be more important that a test score.
OP, anomalies obviously jump off the transcript. One grade doesn’t derail an application, but a downward trend could be an issue. Fight for the rebound!
Thanks for replying! I’ll definitely keep trying to get that grade up.
