Is it still possible to get into UCLA/UC berkeley with 1 c on you report card? Considering that the rest of your grades are A's?

its not exactly great but if you have received A’s on everything, it should probably make up for considering that you took AP. the good thing is that the C in AP Chem is like a B pretty much. overall, its really your class rank and GPA that matters. im sure you still have a good shot at those colleges

Assuming you’re a HS senior now then you should be fine. The rules when they admit you require a B average senior year and no grade less than a C or else you may be rescinded. However this C won’t affect your admission decision because they won’t see the grade before they decide.

the single grade is fine… however it would urt you if you were intending to be a bio or chem major.

@mikemac, i’m a junior :(

I really don’t think a “C” in a challenging class like AP Chemistry (on an otherwise flawless transcript) is going to have any material impact on your college admission chances.

There is absolutely no way that one C will stop you from getting into these schools (though it won’t look good if you’re going into some Chem major, like Dunnin said). Applications are viewed holistically. Once C alone will not lead them to reject you; shortcomings throughout the application would though.

Yeah, I really don’t think that will hurt you! You have straight A’s otherwise! And I’m assuming you have a tough courseload anyway.
