I was wondering if colleges consider C's in AP classes still good? It is equivalent to a B in a regular class and I heard that colleges want to see you taking rigorous courses....

They want you to take rigorous classes and perform well in them. A C in an AP class, while not the end of the world, would not be classified as "good.

It depends on the college you want to go to. If you want an Ivy League or a top tier school that probably will hurt your chances very significantly. Otherwise it probably won’t be that horrible as long as your other grades are good. But I wouldn’t recommend signing up for AP Classes that you aren’t confident that you can get at least a B in for the future.

Colleges want to see you taking rigorous courses; however, they also want to see you succeed. Don’t sign up for a class that you couldn’t do well in just for the sake of taking an AP. Its better to take classes that challenge you, but also that won’t be impossible.
