<p>i took 2 ap classes this semester as a senior- statistics and chemistry
i got a C in statistics and B in chemistry.
will that hurt my chances bad?
i heard statistics is easy but it has been the hardest class to me :(
i got As in ap calculus ab and bc in my junior year tho...</p>
<p>i applied to ga tech, william and mary, UVa, va tech, george washington and some other safety colleges.</p>
<p>are you a URM? are your ECs, recs, test scores, and essays good? I think we need a little more info in order to judge your chances.</p>

i just wanted to know how much the mid year report grades will affect it.
but anyways.

math2c 700. i also took chem but i havent gotten the score yet.
and my recs and essays are very good.

well, your gpa and rank is good. is this 3.86 gpa including the grades on your midyear report?</p>
<p>the stat and chem grades might hurt a little since you did pretty well on the math portion of your standardized tests (SAT & SAT II), so they might expect you to do well in science/math classes. and the fact that you’re asian just makes it worse. (i’m asian too sucks for us w/o super stellar test scores!!!)</p>
<p>but i think you have a very good chance of getting into VA-Tech, gwu.
a pretty good chance for w&m and GA tech
and UVA might be a reach (again, the asian factor comes into play…)</p>
<p>stupid AA. they need to get rid of that, haha!</p>
<p>yeah. asians are supposed to be good at math and science or generally have good scores lol
but thats not my case! and stats was like english to me haha. and i had language barrier lol.

<p>AP Stats is apparently very verbally based; at my daughter’s school you have to have a recommendation from both your english and history teacher to take it…so that would explain your difficulty…</p>
