I took AP BC calculus during junior but dropped down to AB and got a C for the year. I want to go into the business field. My reach schools are George Washington University and Pittsburgh University. Will the C affect my chances? Here are my other stats:

-Freshman-Junior year GPA: 3.66 weighted and 3.3 unweighted (got a C in AP AB Calc junior year )
-SAT: 1850
-ACT: 28
-Took 4 APs so far and taking 4 more senior year
-7 honors classes
-good amount of EC's

I know my GPA is pretty low. I basically got straight B's.

I honestly am not the most qualified person to answer your question, but from what I have heard it won’t be your C that makes or breaks whether you get in. Colleges frequently say that they’d rather see a C in an AP class than a B in a standard level class. They also often say that one bad grade won’t doom your admission. I am sorry to say I know very little about GWU and UPitt. Still, I hope this makes you realize that one bad grade doesn’t doom you. Best of luck :)

While the C might be striking to colleges when looking at the transcript, you definitely don’t need to worry about them killing your chances.
-A fellow senior applying to those universities as well

Not if you can explain it.
