C in Junior Year

I pretty sure I'm going to get a C overall in Physics this year. I'm freaking out because I'm asian and my parents are going to kill me but most of all I'm really worried that this will ruin my chance for getting into college. I wanted go to UMCP, but one of my friends who is a Senior got a C and he couldn't get into UMCP. UMCP told him they don't accept people with C's, and now I'm really nervous. Overall my GPA is a 3.6, and my weighted GPA is like a 4.34. I only have 1 AP, which i sorta regret doing. This is the first C I've ever gotten in my entire life. Is it really bad that I got a C? Will it prevent me from going to college?

I feel your pain. I am also extremely nervous about my Physics grade this year.
At this point, do your ABSOLUTE BEST. That means straight A+'s in your senior year. Colleges often request to see the first semester senior grades.

The problem with a C, though, is that you have to prove yourself above and beyond in other compartments, such as extracurricular activities and SAT’s.

Try to score really well on the SAT I and SAT II tests. It will help.

Chance me!

It’s alright. Trust me. In the end, things will be fine. One C isn’t a huge deal. :)

Just keep truckin’.

“UMCP told him they don’t accept people with C’s”

I hardly think that’s believable, no university would ever say that.
Either your friend read it wrong or you heard it wrong.
One C isn’t a big deal as long as everything else is in order
