Hello all, just had a quick question. I earned a C in Gen Chem II as I was working far too many hours, interning at a local hospital, and dealing with the recent loss of a sibling. My GPA is now at a 3.75 cumulative, and I am curious as to how this setback will affect my chances at getting into a med school i.e. will my explanation of the circumstances have any weight in their decisions?

People get C’s and get into medical school all the time. Your GPA is still pretty decent.

wouldn’t be concerned over one C good luck in your studies

I would be more concerned by the lack of effort demonstrated in the fact that there are literally dozens of threads on this topic but you didn’t bother to search for them.
