I just recieved an LOA. I am so excited, it is a relief but, I still need to recieve a nomination, pass the CFA, and get medically qualified.

bgm,

Congratulations to you! Anyone who receives an LOA is special and you should feel very proud. Get ready for your nomination interview, and practice for the CFA or take it asap. Stay on top of any issues with DoDMERB. Good luck!

momoftwins, thank you. Now my mom will hopefully have twins at West Point.

bgm, just sent you a pm

bgmcgrath - Congratulations! I wonder how many siblings there are at WP.

Lots of siblings, and several sets of twins in my class. Just so you guys know, you all have a better chance of getting in this year. They're accepting 1,500 candidates rather than the normal 1,200. From what I hear, they'll be incorporating 4 new companies--one Company I in each Regiment. That means most of us future Team Leaders will probably have two Plebes.

Thanks marines4me. Interesting update.

You guys will get new glasses, too. No BCGs for ya'll. Not the Ranger goggles either, some new kind of thing like Wiley-Xs, but not Wiley-X.

the oakleys?

Are they oakleys? I'm not sure... They're the ones that were in the Army Time's.
