Hi,
The school I go to does not rank and does not report GPAs to college
(If they were to, mine would be an exact 90)
Its one of the top high schools in the nation.
Naviance says the average EDer who gets into cornell from my school has an average of 92.
Cornell is my reach.

But The thing is, colleges only get to see my semester and final year grades since my school doesnt report GPAs/rankings at all. And I have some C+s on my transcript.
Three rows, specifically. In 8th grade spanish, 9th grade math, and 10th grade chem.

I really want to apply to ILR. My transcript shows that I am obviously geared toward english/social sciences. But those Cs are MAJOR blemishes!. I have THREE rows of them for each of those classes!

In spanish, I had a bad teacher in 8th grade so I got a steady C+. I got a B+ and A- in 9th and 10th grade spanish.

Horrid math teacher in 9th grade math as well. Gave me a C+. I got a B+ and B- in 10th grade math though. And I think I can pull off an A- in junior year.

As for chem in 10th.. well, I just didnt understand chem and my 61-year old teacher in her last year before retirement didn't help.

But the thing is.. Cornell is Ivy League. Sure, colleges want to see trends, but ivy leagues would rather have students who are proven strong, right?

The point is, my transcript looks really bad. My As in english and history balance these things out and give me a 90 average, but colleges wont see the 90. They will see the Cs cause Cs stick out alot. My Cs aren't even focused either. Its not like I consistently sucked at one thing. Each year I did bad in different places! No trends except for the fact that I'm obviously not math-oriented.

Do I still have a chance at Cornell ED even with those Cs?

Also my other question is:
SAT 2 Math of any level is required for an ILR app.
Would it decrease my chances if I took SAT Math Level 1 instead of Level 2? Math is not my strong suit. Should I take the Level 1 or Level 2.. I feel like I will do bad on both..
