Hey guys,
I’m a current junior and I’m taking a look at some colleges. I’ve been able to narrow down my list quite a bit, but I’d like to realistically know what my chances are at these schools I’m looking at. Thanks!

-Michigan U.
-U. Chicago
-WUSTL
Any advice, along with your insight on what my chances will be is greatly appreciated!
I’m only going to do the colleges that I know, and honestly that’s most of the colleges you’ve listed. Your SAT is average at several of the colleges you’ve mentioned so increasing that math score will increase your chances. Your class rank/GPA is excellent and EC’s look pretty good.
UCLA: Match
UC Berkeley: Med-High Reach
BU: High Match
Cornell: Med-High Reach
Johns Hopkins: Med-High Reach
NYU: Match
Michigan U: Low Reach
U Chicago: High Reach
WUSTL: High reach
@ileoox3 Thanks! If I brought my math score up into the 700s range, how much do you think that would increase my chances at UCB, Michigan U., and WUSTL?
Hey there! Your ECs and such look great, as does your GPA. I think your SAT hits the average at most of the colleges you listed. The only school I think you might have some problems with would be WUSTL. They have strange admissions. I have a friend that goes there now and she went to a private Math & Science academy and most of the students there struggled to get in. I think taking it again to increase your math score is a great idea and will probably increase your chances by 5-20%

Chances will definitely increase with a higher math sat score. EC s are good but lack biology related EC s. Shadowing doctor, or doing bio research will increase chances for any of these universities. I would ED to umich
You have a great, well-balanced list! I’m glad you’re not reaching higher than you’re capable of. You’re definitely capable of pulling a 2250+ from those score but right now, you’ll have a tough chance getting into those reaches (although I know a Hispanic girl in the 1900s who got in ED to cornell).
-UCSD (Low Match)
-UCLA (Match)
-UCBerk. (High Match)
-CalPoly SLO (don’t know enough)
-Pomona College (High match)
-Boston University (safety)
-Cornell (High match)
-Johns Hopkins (high match/reach)
-NYU (low match)
-Michigan U. (if u mean UofM- match; MSU- safety)
-U. Chicago (reach)
-WUSTL (high match)
you have solid stats, fairly bland EC’s. you are a strong applicant and I’m sure you will get into a bunch of these!
UCSD/SLO: Match
UCLA/UCB: High Match
Pomona: Low Reach
ucsd/slo mid match
ucla and ucb: high match
pomona: reach
cornell: reach
uchicago: reach, really depends on essays
nyu: high match
michigan: low reach
get the sat to 2250 plus

Chicago: high reach
WUSTL: mid reach
In at the rest I think
Limit these to colleges you actually see yourself at, and try not to do activities for college.
People can see through this easily…
That being said, most of your choices are decent, just go with it.
