<p>My common app meaningful activity (150 word limit) short statement is about a Mexico mission trip on I went on with my church over last summer. Is writing about a religious activity too risky? Anyone want to read and give a thumbs up/down?</p>
<p>You may have a really interesting slant for your essay. However, generally the "trip to a third world country" topic is one to avoid. Too many applicants use this topic and it is a big yawner for the admissions reps reading the essay.</p>
<p>Yeah, i don't really focus on the whole Mexico aspect, as much as I do on a specific little girl I met during the missions trip.</p>
