CA still waiting?

Has anyone from CA received their acceptance package yet? I am freaking out because mine hasn't come yet, if it is going to come. I hope it comes tomorrow.

omg same here!

I didn't get anything in the mail from Rice today, either. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.. maybe there's still hope for me! :)

The scary thing was that when I opened my mailbox, I saw two BIG envelopes inside. My heart jumped and when I snatched the first one out, I realized it was from some obscure company, and then when I took the second envelope out, it was an acceptance package from another university. Sigh.

I guess I'll be finding out online tomorrow morning first, rather than via mail.

alabama here. Stupid mailman probably lost it. Typical alabamian. lol. Even florida got it before me.

Sigh, i guess for us californians, it'll be TOMORROW..

i'll most likely check my status at school rather than find out by mail.

It's so frustrating! I want to knowww

Yeah me too! :) So have any Californians gotten their decision yet?

I havent gotten it either.... I went to the Post office today with another "gift" to see if they could give me my mail early..... no envelope.... ungh i'll have to wait tonight tooo

Haha, I bet the post office has a room just for all the gifts you keep bringing them. ;)

Tonight? I thought they were posting it tomorrow morning.

Omg, I was totally freaking out. I thought I was going to break down crying until I saw this. I wonder why it's taking so long to get to Cali. So we're perfectly sure that everyone from Cali hasn't gotten anything yet right?

CC-wise, nobody from Cali has reported getting any admission letters.

sunkist, I was feeling the same way, lol.

hang in there, you guys ;)

talk about a nerve-wracking experience.

"Packages are delivered in an average of 2-3 days to any destination. "
http://www.usps.com/all/shippingandmailing/23daypackages.htm

So, technically, Cali people can get acceptances tomorrow.

Looking at the acceptance rates for every other state, there's no way all of you could have been rejected or deferred. Therefore, your mail is just running late. Silly USPS :-p.

Joey

Haha, true. I think CC applicants were really lucky this ID round-- so many acceptances! :D It cheers me up.

I'm going to be running to my school's library a lot tomorrow morning, or asking teachers if I can use their computer to check my e-mail. Ahhhh.

Hey everyone,
I'm new here, but I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and got my acceptance in the mail today. However, my mail comes pretty late in the afternoon. The rest of you will probably get it tomorrow. Good luck to you all

Hmm...that's interesting. Thanks for letting us know! Also, congrats on your acceptance. You're the first on CC and from Cali to get accepted to Rice. :)

yep, i'm from cali too and surprisingly, i received absolutely NO letters in my mailbox today. perhaps my post office randomly decided to celebrate chinese new year this year? i guess i'll just have to wait to check my email tomorrow morning! good luck, guys!

Congrats, Wallaby87! Hmm, I live in the Bay Area as well... why didn't I get my letter? Sigh, oh well..

Haha, tomorrow I'll do the same thing as you icymoon-- except I'll just use the library computer in private in case i get rejected. :P

But I'm going to check my Admission Page really late tonight... even though it probably won't be updated. Still clinging onto my theory that the ad. officers wouldn't want to deal with this tomorrow morning...!

Hey, I'm from San Jose, in California and I got my acceptance in the mail today. Good luck all of you; hope to you see you all next year in Houston!

Oh congrats to y'all Californian applicants!

raindrops, I'm probably going to stay up late due to excessive amounts of homework, so I'll drop by and see if there's anything new with the status page. ;)
